2004 Marathon

Australia-Thailand-Alaska

The 2004 ATA Challenge planned by Youth Sports Foundation will be one of the most difficult and challenging marathon races ever to be held in the world. The race will cover three countries: Australia, Thailand and Alaska.

Stage one begins a new and extra challenging route through the Australian Simpson Desert.

Stage two will take the runners to Thailand on a 1000km kayaking race through the most remote islands of Thailand.

Immediately following the race in Thailand, the runners will be flown to Alaska to compete in a 1000km race involving the most extreme challenges that the runners have yet faced.

Details will be confirmed by no later than July 2003.

A new and exciting documentary is once again intended with the assistance of Dennis Coffey (Impact Images).
